Good Filter
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Have only been using the filter for 2 to 3 weeks. It is quiet, much better than Tetra above water model. I only have a 10gal. tank. Not as yet sure how well the filter works comparably. Need to give it more time. One thing noticed is when feeding, the flakes don't quickly sink into the water and immediately sink to the bottom of the tank or get sucked up like the above-water filter. The flakes will hang around on top of the water for several minutes and thus allowing them greater time to eat. I believe that's due to less to no surface agitation of the water when using the below-water filter.
With that all said, there is one con I experienced. The impeller was stuck so no water was passing through the filter. I had to remove the bottom of the filter (it's a snap fit - not screws. Larger units may use screws) and manually turn the impeller a couple of times. Once freed up there have been no problems.
