    A Genie's 64 Bit Lightning... in an AMD64 X2 Bottle
Using the Fedora 12 64 Bit Operating System as the FREE & Open Source way to let this AMD Genie out of its AMD Bottle is an amazing experience. This CPU... when married to the copper piped Cooler Master radiator/fan is such a cool, smooth and slick combo that runs as quiet as The Concord once did at high altitude and Mach II+ speed...and is just as fast! The 64 Bit Linux ISO installs flawlessly and the screen refresh rate on the MSI board with its ATI 200 Chip-Set and on-board video graphics was simply remarkable. If you are completely enamored of the Intel Core 2 Duo series of CPUs, but cannot find the Jingle in Your Pocket to build a machine to handle the demands of the dual processors they sport... then do some shopping around on eBay and be smart enough to lurk around here on something as affordable and performance filled as this combination...and you will not be disappointed! This is the most fun, with most bang for my computing buck that I've had in building a fast and functional machine in a very, very long time! Just DO IT!

The Ups and Downs of The Haves vs. The Have Nots
First...A little $$$ housekeeping about why this is such a great eBay deal: It comes down to having a total of 81 programs that will cost you a mere $1.10 per show. Once you saddle up to the first US-DS show...you'll be hooked and want more! Now... down to business. Shakespeare once said, "There is nothing new under the Sun." and when it comes to human nature, nothing could be so dead, balls-on accurate as reflected in this successful, five year run for this period piece series. These unique programs work on so many levels to make them classic and worthwhile viewing that it is hard to isolate one special point of departure over another. But in the realm of the human conditions these shows portray, so many situations and circumstances happen that bring sadness and joy to the lives of the vast cast of characters being played, it is impossible not to be seduced by them into wanting to know more. This series is a clockwork of everything from the funny and mundane scenes to situations of real substance and things that matter because we can all relate to them in a contemporary way. For these and other reasons, the viewer will understand instantly why it all just works so very well. You name it... everything troubling in the way of confronting problems arising from dealing with class warfare and homosexuality to warfare, abortion and beyond; all of which become grist for the 'well-written-screenplays-mill' at the heart of their successful five year stay on television. The ideas, the writing and the staging of the programs are such a breath of fresh air when compared to most of the wafer-thin story lines we all suffer from here in America; poisoning "free TV" with too many law and order and reality TV shows amidst all those commercials we have to put up with. But even more interesting is how much of the post-19th century underbelly is revealed in a way that we can all relate to what they are trying to say. This was the era of the decline of English Imperialism and their stranglehold on so many other countries around the world and to the "thousand natural shocks" they felt when one by one, these countries they conquered eventually reclaimed their homelands from English rule. At home in the privileged and spoiled household of this particular upper class English family, the inequities and resentments felt by the servants or "service" class from either real or perceived ill treatment from their "masters" living above their heads in idle luxury. These core issues might seem so cliche by today's standards that the viewer might be inclined to think, "We already know this story, so what is the point of watching?" Nothing could be further from the truth with Upstairs-Downstairs. The interweave of social, political and economic imbalances as a backcloth are all done to perfection. The excellent acting and staging also serve well and truly to enlighten and engage the viewer into the full immersion that will follow when watching the contrasting lives of all the people portrayed here to entertain us. I'm giving this series all Five Stars!Trust me...if you enjoy being entertained at length...Upstairs-Downstairs may turn out to be just your 'cup o' tea!'... --==Enjoy the Day==--
