Law and Order meets scif!
It being a police procedural novel really showed me the difference between that an a detective novel. It was like law and order plus scifi. Although at times the entire scheme of things were kind of tricky, I liked the overall plot of the book.

Game of thrones in space.
At first I was expecting some kind of epic space opera like star wars with a grand invasion but this was even better. It really reminded me of Gundam mobile wing with all the politics and backstabbings. I can't wait for the future books as I believe each book would make good for an hbo season.

Interesting in the beginning, but kind of dragged on.
The whole mystery of the plot was very intriguing. Nevertheless like all great mysteries once you figure out the source behind it you kind of get bored as the plot seems simple. Honestly not the best of John Scalzi who's books have been the best!
