Quality Issues
I gave this 2 stars because of the quality issues (see pics). The choke linkage bellcrank was the wrong size/part, causing it to bind against the carburetor body, but I made it usable by adding a washer. Called the seller; he sent someone to look at their cores and says "our cores look OK." What does that mean? I'm talking about the carb I have in my hands.
The carb idle would not adjust on the right side. Pulled the idle adjusters and the one for that side was damaged. I have several Edelbrock carbs here in the shop so I just replaced the adjuster with one from my other carbs. I should not have had to do that.
I rebuild all my carburetors anyway and only needed a good core, so I kept it. Most of what I have are 600CFM but I needed a 500CFM - and rebuilt as well for the price of a core seemed like good deal. Aside from above, the carb seems to run alright on the street.
