Pippin is still great!
Saw this play on broadway many years ago with the original cast. Loved it then and still love it now. Great story and musical score not to mention the acting. Ben Vereen still steals the show although everyone else is terrific too. So glad this video of it was made to preserve it for audiences to enjoy years later.

Broadway Show Irene is Terrific!
Highly recommend this wonderful broadway cast recording of the 1973 revival of Irene starring the incomparable Debbie Reynolds. Saw this show then and thoroughly enjoyed it and still do listening to the music now. Great cast also includes the humorous Patsy Kelly and George S. Irving, soap opera actress Ruth Warrick, and Monte Markham. Great songs like Alice Blue Gown, You Made Me Love You, I'm Always Chasing Rainbows, Last Part of Every Party as well as rousing ones like Irene, What Do You Want To Make Those Eyes At Me For, They Go Simply Wild Over Me and humorous Great Lover Tango and Mother Angel Darling. Includes booklet detailing the show, its stars and all the problems they encountered putting it together. It played for 600 performances and then Debbie Reynolds took it out on the road until Jane Powell took it over.

Petula Clark Live -- BEWARE
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich BEWARE! Bought this CD expecting a live concert as it is advertised. Was very disappointed when it turned out to be nothing more than the usual studio recordings of her hits and album tracks. Clearly false advertising. Why it is titled PC Live I have no idea. The full track listing on this collection is as follows: Downtown/Sign of the Times/Call Me/Color My World/Strangers in the Night/Hello Dolly/This is My Song/Don't Sleep in the Subway/I Know a Place/The Good Life/The Song of My Life/My Love.
