Decent replacement cable
Unfortunately I have not been able to compare sound quality with the original cable from my IE80's but I am happy overall. The only downside I have discovered after a couple of weeks use is the microphone which is not great. People tell me I sound "distant" when I use it on my iPhone 6s Plus. Other than that it is good for the price and controls work.

Excellent in-ears
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich Finally I've found a pair of IEM's that can match or even exceed my Bowers & Wilkins P7 in sound quality. Bass is weighty but fairly tight. Highs are detailed but not sharp at all. Mids are pretty good as well but less dominant than the bass. Well recorded tracks sounds fantastic and less well recorded music sounds pretty good as well. This makes the IE80 a superbly musical and involving pair of headphones which I can highly recommend.
My reference points are: Beyerdynamics DTX101, Monster Turbine Pro Copper, Klipsch S4, B&W P7, B&O H6, NAD HP50, Sennheiser Momentum, Sennheiser HD650, AKG K701 and the Audio Technica M50.
Only downsides are the dull design and lack of microphone.

OK - but original remote is better (or maybe just different)
Works fine with my Dreambox 500HD v1 but my not with my new'ish high end Sony Bravia TV from 2014. The extra lights are not much of an improvement. Button layout is good but it takes time to get used to.
