Good product. Great Value. Not hi-performance air flow
Good product. Great value. I got a pair for less than some sites want for 1. The small diameter should fit any dual quad setup. I found no chrome flaws at all on the tops. I would rate the finish at better than most OEM stuff. I see no lines left from the deep stamping process.
So, polished after stamping, before plating, as they should be. I don't know that I am qualified to call them Show Quality, but the chrome looks great to me and with care, should hold up fine. Only time will tell. The tops feel solid and measure .05" at the edge. The base material is only about .023" thick and not polished before plating. One base had a small spot where the chrome had not quite covered the copper plating. On an assembled engine, it would be hard to see. The lower flange that rests on the carburetor top is formed at about a 45 degree angle rather than the 90 you would expect on an OEM part. The opening just fits on a Ford/Autolite and has some play on a typical Holley or Carter/Edelbrock. If you need a tight seal, for dusty road use, I would select a gasket carefully. For typical streetrod use, I wouldn't worry about it. Filter element is typical white paper. Looks just like Spectre Performance 4806. Will buy again if the need arises.
2023 Update: After spending more time looking under it I became concerned about air flow restriction between the ID of the top and the OD of the base! There is less than 0.2" all around. Looks like about 1.2 sq.in. opening area or so, not much! Since the top flares out at the bottom, a spacer on top of the filter, 5/8" or more, should about double that area. Pic 2. A taller filter is better yet. Stock filter is 2-3/8 high. a Fram CA101 (or equiv.) is 3" tall. I would not recommend for hi-performance air flow. For that use a flat top. Pic 5.

Works as it should
It was perfect for reaching the head bolts on a Ford FE engine that are under the rocker shaft.

Top quality
No complaints. Did the job. I think they should last. Not cheap, but good tools aren't.
