An extra screen
I bought this to allow a second screen when using my laptop to play karaoke tracks. It runs Linux Mint, so I was particularly interested that this device said it was supported Debian/Ubuntu (which mint is based on). When first plugged in it didn't work, but rebooting meant I suddenly had 2 screens. I would guess just restarting X would do the same.
I can't say how well the Windows drivers work because I don't have a computer with windows on!
The display seemed responsive enough, although I didn't try streaming video to it. If you just want an occasional second monitor to take your email or chat window, then this is ideal. The price was very reasonable in my opinion.

Simple to use and reliable
I bought this to operate a fan heater in my flat, the storage heaters do the job but often get "caught out" by sudden changes in weather. The thermostat in the fan heater was next to useless as it got heated by the fan heater and switched itself off before the room had barely warmed! Since the thermostat is in the remote with the Celect, you can choose where it measures.
On thing to note is that the fan switches based on the temperature in Fahrenheit - if you switch it to Centigrade you are seeing a "translation" of the temperature, which explains why sometimes the fan switches on and off without the measured temperature appearing to change. At first I thought it was faulty, but if you change it to Fahrenheit then you can see the fan switches as the measured temperature changes.
Excellent product, no more waking at night freezing or boiling!

As good as you'd expect.
This phone is no Samsung/ iPhone killer, but its only £64. General construction is OK, the case flexes a bit but not as bad as some other phones I've seen at 3 times the price. The UI is responsive and seems to work well. I ended up getting a different phone, only because the sound from the speaker was a bit hissy (which may have just been my device), and I decided I needed Android 5 like my other Android devices whereas the Alcatel runs 4.4.
