Milwaukee close quarter drill
This drill is an older model that was made when they were made in the US. The new model and the knoc offs are made in China I believe. I bought this because it was like new and made in the US. I also own one of the Chinese knockoffs and the difference is striking. From new, the Neiko knockoff had bearings in the gearing that sounded like they could leave the drill at any time. The speed control was very sensitive and hard to regulate. The chuck had small teeth and was hard to tighten. It was also very cheap. The "made in the US" Milwaukee bearings and gearing is much quieter, the speed control is much easier to regulate and the chuck has much larger teeth and easy to tighten. Even used (but like new) it was about 4X the cost of the knockoff. The argument seems to be that I can buy four of the knockoffs for the price of the US made Milwaukee. That may be true but you also have to factor in the ease of use when using. I believe the made in US drills can also be rebuilt by Milwaukee.
