The printer that said it COULD and DID!!
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I was looking for something that would print a moderate volume of prints with little intervention. Then I found, and fell in love with the Kodak Professional 9810 dye sub printer! This is a remarkable printer for the money. It is solid, rugged, and it's Kodak!!
This is a roll fed dye sublimation printer that produces lab quality prints, with a clear coat, for about $1.50 each. For photo studios, small labs, or even advanced armatures, the ability to get about 80 - 85 borderless 8x10 prints per hour is a real plus! Best of all, your prints carry that name that has been synonymous with photographs and photography for well over a century....KODAK! The printer has pre-programmed "package prints" including wallets, 5x7, and 4x6. This is Kodak's replacement for the big ML-500, and as always, they get better and better! The printer will print 300 8x10 prints on one media load. 8x12 size is also available and it will do 250 8x12 prints per "fill up". The pictures are fingerprint, liquid, and tear resistant and the colors will just take your breath away! (WHat else did we expect from Kodak!!)
I have combined this with the Kodak 6850 Professional printer in my studio and these 2 workhorses supply over 90% of the prints that come out of my studio. For the customer who likes the matte prints, I have the Kodak 5100 AIO printer. The pigment inks, combined with the Kodak luster paper produce a print that will rival any lab. And the 9810 also incorporates the Kodak color algorithms that produce color that is just STUNNING with little or no intervention.
With the per print price vs. what the labs charge, I figure my payback will come in only the 3rd or 4th roll of paper! And if you do events or even studio portraits, you can hand clients an 8x10 print ON THE SPOT! The ONLY regret I have about the printer is not owning TWO of them. But that will change in the near future!!

Easy to set up and use.
This is a great little unit compared to the PayPal "triangle"! Takes chip and wireless cards also. Very easy set up with Ipad and Iphone 7+.

Epson Stylus Pro® 4000 InkJet Printer, art in ink!
7 von 8 finden das hilfreich I have a photo studio and do all my own printing. I use the Kodak dye sub products but was missing the "over 8x10" prints. I read up on inkjet and found the Epson Stylus Pro line to be the most recommended. After purchasing the Stylus Pro 4000, I can see why. It's 8 color ink system delivers AWSOME results. The UltraChrome inks are very true! Combine the inks with Kodak Professional Luster paper and the Kodak ICC profile for the Epson 4000, and trust me, you have a print that would rival ANY lab!! Using the 4000 in combination with Kodak's new 5000 series inkjets and inks I can get some VERY professional results from 4 x 6 upt to 16 x 20! (The Kodak printers have earned their own review!!) So being a "die hard - dye sub" person, I can tell you that BOTH these products have swayed me toward inkjet! It cost about $900.00 to completely re-ink the Epson 4000 at retail prices, but I have found many great prices on the ink right here on Ebay. You don't have to replace them all at once either....another beauty of the 8 ink system. Just to note too, you see lots of deals on "3rd party" inks, but i have been told by MANY professionals in the field, DO NOT put 3rd party inks in this printer! The Epson inks were designed for the Epson print head. Some are "probably OK", but I would not want to take the chance that I would purchase the one that would mess up my print head! Usually you use more of the "light" colors first...light cyan, light magenta. But the 220ml cartridge will pay for itself in the beauty of the prints alone! Don't buy one to print 5 or 10 prints a year. The printer must be used to keep the heads clean! I would rate this product excellent for professionals and "advanced consumer" photographers who want some real stunning prints!
