Very poorly made
For this to be useful it needs to firstly made out of straight wood ,not two pieces that dont line up. Also the central bolt and holes need to be a close fit, not all sloppy..So bent wood + sloppy centre fit = not very useful for artwork or anything requiring a modicom of accuracy Look for something better, dont waste your money..

All good but too soon to tell if it works.
There are dozens of these all appearing to be the same model, I chose this as it was priced in the middle ,the quality is good and seems to be well made, it came in a nice presentation box, which may be useful ,plus I had it resized and the removed links were in the box, so all good. As far as the effectiveness is concerned ,its to soon to say but I've got my fingers crossed because I have some arthritis and a friend swears by magnets.

Well made but not for 17 inch laptop imho.
This is a well made stand probably good for up to 15" but not for a 17" laptop, the platform will collapse when the screen is opened due to the weight.However if you must have it for a 17" there's a workaround, move the adjusting bracket which is normally screwed to the bottom edge of the platform with 4 screws ,up to the middle of the platform, this reduces the leverage on the bracket, unfortunately you can only use 2 screws as it wasnt designed to do this.2 screws isnt a problem for my 17" laptop.
