LG 'Manual' TV remote control better than that 'Magic' thing
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich LG TVs are well made, within limits - we had one fail within warranty. The 'Magic' remote control is inteded to work like a 'wand-mouse', moving a cursor around the TV screen depending on where it is pointed. Unfortunately, the alignment goes 'off-beam' quite quickly and the 'wand' has to be held at an angle to where the cursor is located. This is counter-intuitive. The Magic remote also has to be 'paired' with the TV. The manual push-button remote works on any LG TV (even very old ones) - its only fault is that the buttons are too close together - unlike the Panasonic remotes - and buttons are thus hard to find in low light.

Brand new clutch fork delays the inevitable failure
It's good because it's brand new - just a little dusty from storage. Along with Range-Rovers, these clutch forks rotate on a 10 to 15mm diameter 'ball-headed' bolt. There is a shallow 'dent' in the fork that engages with the ball. Both the 'ball' and the 'dent' wear out - the ball eventually 'erupts' through the worn wafer-thin 'dent' with the result that the contents of the clutch slave cylinder are spread all over the road. (If you're quick, you can get the bits back). These are well-documented failures, which obviously wouldn't happen if the clutch fork rotated on a proper spindle - like on a Morris Minor. I'm just a little surprised that my LDV van shares this cut-price technology with an £ 80k Range Rover.
