Timeless and wonderful!....
I bought this out of curiosity, popped it in the car cd player, and it has remained in there ever since! Nothing else has had a look in! Fabulous music that really gets inside of you. A full bore "roaring twenties" vibe. Fascinating mix and fusion of Jazz, Blues, and Hawaiian music. The word "virtuoso" used here is no exaggeration! The "King of the Ukulele" really shines here. A rhythmic masterpiece, and the Ukulele refreshingly sounds like a Ukulele unlike so many modern uke recordings. A great historical record of an amazing Hawaiian musician, but also of music that is absolutely timeless in it's effect on us. Great fun for a party, and as dance music. I defy anyone to stay still and not smile to this!....

Heavenly Music to make you smile.
If you like ukulele,( or any other string instrument for that matte)r this is a must have! The musician and instrument are as one. You really get to feel the guy's "Aloha" through this music. Truly on a different level. Heavenly stuff. Stoked to have found it.

"Bright, brash and brittle"
I bought these as I was after some clear nylon strings due to being no longer able to obtain any of my favourite strings due to post-Brexit import issues. At first I thought these might be a good replacement as the sound was nice, clear and bright with excellent sustain. So I bought some more to try on my other ukuleles. However I discovered a few times whilst re-stringing that a string would occasionally snap during the stretching out process (most commonly the 2nd E string). I had never come across this before, and have to admit I began to lose a bit of confidence in these strings. After using the strings for a while I also began to find the very bright sound just a little bit too harsh and brash for my ears. I have tried the black nylon version as it is the mellower version, however I found they went a bit too far the other way. So I would sum up these strings for me as "brash, bright and brittle". Good enough, and certainly very bright and clear with excellent sustain at a good price. The ball ends are really a great idea, especially on my Kanile'a with it's bridge pins.
