Genuine Dell 9-cell E5440 Battery
This new 9-cell battery - being a genuine Dell one - was exactly as stated: new. As indicated in the BIOS. Ready to be fully charged, and works perfectly. At least five hours operation time under normal usage.

Crucial in more ways than one
I'm familiar with Crucial's BX 500 SATA SSD, as I've previously used one prior to the two I ordered from a eBay seller. They're good solid drives which I've had no issues with.
Although it's a fact that data transfer rates with the BX 500 can slow down somewhat as this particular model doesn't have the cache: thus there's the Crucial MX 500, I recommend these as a second internal additional storage drive (in my case I have three 2Tb BX 500s in my Dell M6600: and as I use a Kingston 512Gb mSATA SSD as the boot drive, the BX 500s are purely for storage). Or even as an external one in a USB 3 case for backups etc.
BX 500s are good value storage devices. I haven't gone wrong with them, so you won't too.
