Doctor Maisy by Lucy Cousins

Great book for beginner readers!

My niece is in the First Grade and sometimes it can be difficult to find books that hold her attention. Honestly these books may have 3 semi- difficult words in them that she needed help with. But other than that she loves Maisy books and she relates to them. She finds them funny and entertaining and they nourish her love for reading. So that is more important to us than anything. Great Book would definitely recommend it.

Perfect for a child who has any fear or anxiety

I already knew of this author from her Bible studies through the Proverbs 31 ministries. We had an incident at my niece's school (she is 6) where there was a death threat made on her and her mother. Though we are now homeschooling her now she still struggles with the fear that someone may come hurt her or her mom. She is anxious about knowing where everyone is and if they are okay. I bought this book for her as a way for us to start talking about her fears and ways that we can overcome them. This book also has a page filled with encouraging verses. This is a crazy world we are living in now. This book helped not only the children but also the adults remember that even though bad things happen, it will be okay because God has a plan for you and everything will be okay.
