Great product, beautiful images, and a compelling collection.
0 von 1 finden das hilfreich For fans of art, nothing is better than this collection of portraits by the contemporary photographer William Eggleston. It not only evaluates the career of this great artist, but the growth and expansion of his skill through time. Even for an admiring novice to the photographic form, I was compelled by each photograph's unique composition, color, and mood.
The voyeuristic approach Eggleston took while creating these pictures is emphasized by his separation from the camera. We don't feel the connection Eggleston has, rather we see what the camera sees, unbiased and pure, expanding the realm of interpretation.
Having experience in the publishing world, I see the book as being well-composed, strong and mindful in its organization, and insightful in its opening evaluation of Eggleston.
I recommend this book to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of contemporary photographers, experts looking to mimic a great in the craft, those who want to feel inspired by a unique and interesting artist, or for people that want to add aesthetic to their coffee table for all to admire while seated.
