Bog oak saves the day!
Ordered African Blackwood to make knobs for art cabinet only to find that I am allergic to the wood. After only 15 mins exposure I looked like a chipmunk and it took 10 days to recover. Still wanting black knobs and also being allergic to ebony I ordered bog oak. Twelve knobs have now been made with no I'll effect. The knobs have taken a good polish and add interest to the final cabinet which will be a present.
I will use this unique wood again.

Light and strong
Lighter weight than expected and does bend when in use. Hope they do not take on a permanent bend in time.
