Basic but well-built turntable -- a good value option
This rather basic Audio-Technica turntable does not have some of the features of more costly models and makes out there (there is no ability to adjust weight on the tone arm or to fine tune the speed at which the table is spinning). That said, it's a solidly built and reliable belt-drive unit that is fully automatic and has done a great job of tracking all the vinyl we've put on it, from newer 180-gram pressings to more battle-weary old gems from the '70s. The cartridge is a dual-magnet design with a replaceable stylus, but the user cannot replace/upgrade the entire cartridge. The sound quite is good when hooked directly into our receiver with RCA jacks, and we like that there is also a Bluetooth option that could be great for parties and barbecues where we want to use wireless, portable speakers. All in all, this little turntable is excellent value for the money.
