I was skeptical
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Probably like most folks I was very skeptical about the effectiveness and practicality of this product, liking it to a quick fix product that I would see on info commercials. I had new stainless steel 6105 jescar frets put in on a brand new Fender american deluxe strat. I had a hard time giving to the luthier since the guitar was mint new. Long story short, the job turned out horrible. It wasn't level at all and several frets weren't seated. I could clearly see the tangs on some of the frets and file marks. He ended up replacing 9 frets and getting it down to 3 problematic areas. This took over a month from start to finish and I was threw giving it back. This Thomas Ginex product caught my attention and I watched a few videos on it, and then took the chance on it. I did the whole thing myself, using the product as the video instructs. I was skeptical because the Fender american deluxe's have a compound radius. I thought- how is this flat piece of metal against my radius going to work. But I just moved it back and forth and tilted the plate to try and mimic the radius as best I could, watching as the black marker lines became uniform and disappeared. I went through the whole process twice on the leveling, then the crowing and finally the polishing and was very surprised at the results. My guitar now plays evenly, with very little buzz. The thin tall 6105 frets on a compound radius is my dream player neck especially with the low action . Now that I've done this I know that this actually works. I will say that the crowing of the frets doesn't work as well as the leveling. This may be due to the fact that the stainless steel frets are much harder then nickel. In either case I can play my guitar now in those areas and it's a nice clean note. I may go over it once more to give it a hair more relief from the 14th fret on up, but I am a little apprehensive that it may not get better, just add more buzz some where else. I think if you take your time and use this product you can get a decent job done in a few hours and save yourself time and money. I would recommend getting a notched guitar straight edge for your neck. I made sure my guitar neck was dead flat before starting this otherwise it would be easy to take off way more fret than needed. Then once through, set your relief with the truss rod. My only complaint would be that the video say's to tune down the guitar a half step before the process, and the instruction indicate to use standard tuning. A small gripe but nevertheless a overlooked concern that should be remedied. Good luck.

Quality wire.
Jescar EVO and nickel fret material is far superior to anything I have used. The 9055 wire is tall and consistent through the whole batch. Leveled and polished my guitar plays smooth as butter. The goldish hue sits nicely aesthetically.

Good sound, low noise and best of all same switch feel as the ditto.
This tiny pedal is on par, sound and noise wise with the ditto. A big plus for this tiny pedal is that the footswitch is really soft and it feels right when hitting it on the "one". Some of the looper pedals out there I got rid of them solely on this feature alone. It's almost half the size of the micro pedals out there so keep that in mind. But the sound and feel are great. The volume adjustment of the loop itself is an upgrade, and the USB seems like a cool feature, although I have not tried it nor did I buy it for that reason. I bought it because it was cheap. If it was on par with the ditto sound wise the switch felt good, and it does, I would keep it,,,,so it's staying. Good buy.
