a new Brush works wonders!
I have a Bosch electric drill that I have owned for over 20 years that suddenly stopped working. I was about to bin it when I realised it probably used carbon brushes.After a quick and easy disassembly I was right. The drill was beautifully engineered and replacing these items was easy and required no soldering they just slotted in. How many perfectly serviceable items I wonder are thrown away needlessly. The cost of these brushes £3.99 a new drill £40!!

Assessing the af adapter
Disappointed to note that you have to solder the connections there are no fixing screws. I can solder but many can’t! It’s difficult to reassemble the shell because of the sprung connectors
