Oldie but goodie
I received this book over 28 years ago as a wedding gift from a dear friend. She was a vegetarian and wanted me to discover beautiful and healthy delicious recipes. While there are no photographs, the recipes are simple and easy to follow. The fun handwritten print style is cool too. I love the spinach pie recipe, the Harvard beets and the coffee cake recipe.

Adventure and friendship!
What a fun author to discover! The Translucent Boy series has been so fun to read! Wonderfully written characters so full of genuine love and adventure. True friendship combined with exploration of new worlds and amazing imagination! Can't wait for my son to read these as well. I enjoy being able to read similar content with my children and have the opportunity to discuss with excitement our favorite parts and characters in the books! This was a great read as well as the first and third books in the series. I highly recommend it!

True friendship and adventure!
What a fun story! The characters are so beautifully written and I enjoyed seeing their friendship grow throughout the book. Honesty, genuineness, kindness and loving would describe both Odo and Sephie. Being able to see the good in others and offer true friendship is such a wonderful thing portrayed in this book. I loved watching both of them discover their individual talents and celebrate their own uniqueness. I enjoyed exploring new worlds right along with them. I especially appreciated the deeper meanings and lessons taught in this book. What a wonderful contribution to youth fiction! I myself am far from being a youth but I really enjoy this genre. I look forward to seeing more from this author for sure.
