worthwhile book
helpful book on Herge as a man, and the creator of tintin

a very useful book to understanding the works of this author Frank Richards,and also his life. A gem of a biography.
There are several Frank Richards biographies that have been published, and actually ALL of them are very worth-while.
This one by Mary Cadogan could be called one of the definitive ones on the writing or typing life of this remarkable author Charles Hamilton (best known as Frank Richards). He was the most prodigious and very accomplished writer, and his story itself is very interesting.
I happen to own his 2 original typewriters that the author used from 1920's onwards, and there is even mention of them in Mary's book.
It is a biography compiled with true knowledge and furthermore very well done, with prose that interests the reader and leaves one with a good understanding of the author's works. Anyone who is a fan of Hamilton an/or his characters can't be without this book.
