does what it says it does
Picked up for my wife's revolver. she loves it. Tried it out and it seems to work excellent, now have to just get it out and get it sighted in.

good flashlight
It is a good older flashlight, very durable with ability to change the beam size. There are newer led, cree flashlights that are much brighter but the good models are cost much more than this flashlight.
It is a handy size and takes 2AA batteries, making it easy to get replacement batteries for and they usually last an long time. Some of the cree don't have a long battery life.

Good upgrade for the older AA Maglites
This upgrade does make the older AA Maglites brighter but you do lose a little of the beam focusing ability due to the thickness of the bulb holder. The reflector is shorter than the factory reflector and that helps to maintain some of the beam focusing ability but not quite all of it. Mine will screw off before reaching the full focusing ability it had with the factory bulb and reflector. I like having the on/off on the tail cap. That makes it much easier to turn the flashlight on at night.
