The sellers description was correct, more so than the pictures which tended to show scratches much worse than they actually were. Excellelence in the kitchen!
One can't go wrong with a Shun! They are not as durable as the western (european) knives, but if you take care of them they will last a lifetime. One just has to remember there made of harder steel and thusly stay sharp longer, but the trade off is they need more care because they are brittle. I added this to my collection of 8 Shuns.
After you handle one you'll see why I have 8 of them!
