ABS sensor
I found they work better when plugged into the wiring loom of the car, just having it fitted to the hub assembly apparently wasn't sufficient ;)
Direct like for like swap of a damaged sensor, took literally 5 minutes to replace once the wheel was removed & no longer in the way.

Nissan Qashqai diesel fuel priming bulb & hose assembly
Genuine Nissan part arrived promptly (slightly ahead of predicted date - which is good), the new part is a simple clip-in replacement in an easy to access part of the engine bay. Fitting took me 10 mins. Take a little care when removing the old hose assembly as there Will be some residual diesel inside it which will flow out and make a slippery mess.
Great result from a relatively inexpensive part, the engine is a bit more responsive and doesn't hesitate quite as noticeably on hard acceleration.
If you have engine cut-outs shortly after starting and degraded performance generally then this is one simple thing to check & replace, as the bulb contains at least one one-way valve and if that fails or leaks it can really impact the low-end performance.

Qashqai boot repair kit
I had high hopes for this purchase of the Qashqai boot repair kit and I can confidently state I am well pleased.
First off, quality of the materials is excellent, the ABS plastic repair mouldings are top notch, they fit very closely to the original part; do yourself a favour and thoroughly clear, degrease & remove any remnants of the original broken brackets, I sanded mine lightly before applying the plastic welding / cement fluid and it all just worked. The replacement mouldings are handed so fit snugly when they are correctly positioned.
I was a little anxious about whether the rear view camera would interfere - but no worries on that front - it is all good. I am a fairly experienced DIYer but rarely do much automotive work, taking this little job on saved me over £200 the dealership quoted to supply & fit an OEM part which would likely fail in the same way in time.
Watch the videos if you don't feel entirely confident and that should make most people feel more confident.
Whilst I don't expect to have to repeat this fix, I will recommend it to other Qashqai owners. Really Nissan should buy the rights to supply this and make it an official repair kit.
