Chick goes Akoustic

This is a 1989 recording of the Akoustic band of Chick Corea, The CD mixes jazz standards with Corea's compositions. Notable are Spain, TBC (Terminal Baggage Claim), and Morning Sprite. Even though it is a 1989 recording on GRP, it is not really smooth jazz. It is a straight ahead recording by 3 masters of their instruments.

Complete Dexter

DVD set of the complete Dexter's Lab in region 4 format. IF you have an all region player this is a great set to see all 4 years of the series including the movie "Ego Trip" The series is a bit spotty, but you can see where the art work from Samurai Jack was first envisioned.

Composer and guitarist

Quirky interesting jazz recording. Ian Wardenski is a professor of music and highly skilled guitarist. This recording presents new compositions for a small ensemble. While some of the charts are challenging to the listener, there is enough structure to avoid getting lost. All the musicians are DC and Maryland based with military and university faculty backgrounds. The sound quality is far above most independently produced efforts. Recommended if you are searching for new jazz performances.
