I like this radio, but!
This radio, like any other is not perfect, but it will do the job.
Chirp is good for the radio, but I would use the software cps for this radio to use the extra options like the 2 and 5 tone encoding and decoding,
I have had good reports with this radio on audio and signal.
Now the extension speaker port, that is a tricky issue.
The port had a mic and speaker all in one jack, and I am not a big fan of that, but once you have it right, the sound is nice and crisp.
It is a s.o.c. (software on a chip) so it is prone to off frequency carriers to drown out signals.

This radio is a must have!
Besides the dpmr , the 2 & 5, tone and dtmf decoding it can send the same tones back and had modat signaling.
The menu is tricky, but with a few hours of using it, it will be simple.
Best part, it has a clear audio and the speaker is super clean.

Nice radio
Works like a champ, gets the signal out and true to the watts
