Great pro film camera now available for amazing price
8 von 8 finden das hilfreich Nikon F3 was Nikon's longest in production camera - made and sold for almost 20 years starting in the 80s. It is a great value camera now and with easy availability of Ai/Ai-s lenses, it is a great value camera system.
It has a good light meter, good crisp lcd display and if you go (recommended) with the HP (highpoint) prism, is great for people like me who wear glasses because the HP prism lets you see the entire frame in the viewfinder without bringing it all the way to the eye. I have the regular prism too (the prisms are interchangeable) and it may be a tad brighter. The split level micro-prism focusing is amazing and easy.
I just use the 50mm f/1.4 Ai-s lens which I bought for around $150 and is a fantastic everyday fast lens.
I have a Leica M-A and it may sound stupid but the F3 is a worthy backup camera and does not feel cheap or flimsy compared to the mighty Leica. I paid a little more to get a like new body and boy was it amazing to shoot. The film advance is buttery smooth and the camera feels nicely balanced in the hand with the 50mm lens.
There is a nifty little multiple exposure lever which makes creating multi-exposures a snap. If you have only done these on smartphone apps, you will love the real way it is done on film. F3 makes it so easy.
To conclude if you want to get into 35mm film and not break the bank, I strongly recommend the F3. If you have any questions, pls do not hesitate to contact me @ribnar on twitter. I am a film fanatic and would love to answer any query.
