Looks used- is used. Looks right at home on my 30+ year old boat. A brand new one would look out of place with the other rope clutch and winches.!
Spinlock rope clutches are known as a good quality product- this one is used, but appears to be in good condition- good enough for holding secondary lines like a boom lift and vang.

Not the best, but maybe the only replacement part available for a good price
A budget solution for a fore stock; edges are sharp and make it a bit too large to be comfortable. Its made of plastic and don't know how long it will last, but it fits and does the job.

But dollar for dollar, an excellent value for the serious amature.
The size and weight are a plus. SLR are heavy and high bucks while the pocket cameras are too light and tiny to hold and operate- for me. 10 meg and telephoto is fine for most applications, so I give this a 5 star rating. It seems durable even if the batteries aren't.
Minuses, It does eat them by the handful under heavy usage, so learn to turn it off whenever you can.. The Flash doesn't operate automatically, which takes only a little getting use to after using a pocket camera.
