A great read for the Milton scholar.
Very well written. Mr. Fallon is a well known authority on the life and turbulent times of the great poet and statesman John Milton. This book presents a very unique insight of how Milton drew upon his keen intellect and superior education to write his epic poem Paradise Lost and other causes he believed in….such as seperation of church and state, freedom of the press and allow couples to legally divorce among other causes he held dear. However this book is not for the novice reader to learn about Milton…one must have a background of Milton’s life in order to appreciate this book.
