A nice entry level parlor guitar
I've played guitar for over 45 years and own some very fine instruments, Taylor, Gibson etc. The Breedlove Pursuit Parlor holds it own very well with guitars that cost much more. I purchased this guitar for my girlfriend who is learning the instrument. Its size is perfect for a beginner as the body doesn't get in the way of trying to play it. For the small parlor body it projects well and sounds like a larger instrument. Tone is very balanced. Don't get me wrong, this is no dreadnaught but does very well compared to others in this size and price range. Better than any I played.
I would have given it five stars however it came with a set up issue. There was no relief in the neck causing string buzz and the truss rod needed to be adjusted. I'm also a guitar tech so this was no big deal however a normal player without the knowledge of what was needed or how to fix it would have been disappointed.
The electronics work well for the price and the built in tuner is a plus for a beginner. I'm tempted to buy another one for myself to kick around the house with.

A great portrait prime on a DX body
6 von 6 finden das hilfreich I'm shooting with a DX format Nikon body, a D7500. This lens makes a great portrait lens at an equivalent 75mm focal length. Nikon in fact actually recommends this lens for this purpose. It is also a great low light prime.

A USA made light weight folder for EDC
I have a few other Kershaw Leek knives in other colors but wanted a Carbon Fiber scaled knife for the collection. These are well made knives worthy of their modest price. They are made in the USA which is important to me. Personally, I think the Ken Onion design Kershaw knives are a real bargain for a USA knife. The Chive, Scallion and Leek are top notch for EDC.
Kershaw has one of the slickest assisted opening systems with Speedsafe. Flick your index finger on the tab and the knife is open, just like that, every time. A lock is provided if you choose to use it. I have been carting my carbon leek every day unlocked on the pocket clip for several weeks and I have not had an unintended opening. I do not recommend this but it works for me.
The knife is light weight and the blade is quite slender. This knife will not make a good prying tool but comes out of the box shave sharp and cuts very well.
