Traditional movie to officially begin the holiday season

Be aware of camera design and issues
The Nikon L100 is a decent camera but anyone looking to buy one should be aware of a couple of things. I tried updating the camera with the factory upgraded firmware but the camera has not accepted the upgrades. Contacted Nikon support and camera is too old and is no longer supported by Nikon.
Battery door is terrible design and I have discovered that many of the L100 model has the same issues of the battery door latches break off the housing and the battery door will not stay closed.
And finally, the factory firmware original version only recognizes lithium batteries and alkaline batteries. If you use a metal nickel hydride (recyclable batteries) battery, the battery meter freaks out and becomes inaccurate. Many times it says battery level too low. The upgraded firmware is supposed to correct the battery meter issues and allows the camera to recognize metal nickel hydride batteries but unfortunately, trying to install upgrades fails. Nikon support walked me through the steps several times but failed every time. They will not do it themselves and recommended bringing it to a "Best Buy" geek squad service dept.
Do your research before buying. I also have a Canon A640 camera and is a much better made product. Just saying.
