Well engineered, great-sounding unit, built like a tank
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Solid, all-metal construction, very compact and attractive in a no-nonsense way. Red power light is much nicer than the excessively bright blue lights on some units. Interestingly, the light keeps glowing dimly for several minutes after pulling the plug -- that's a sign of hefty power supply filter capacitors. In terms of sound quality, there is no audible hiss or hum, the volume knob tracks well, good dynamics and clarity. Much nicer than expected and a true bargain.

The best all-round headphones for the price
3 von 4 finden das hilfreich Comfortable even with glasses, extended lows and highs without artificial emphasis, accurate midrange, good clarity and stereo focus. There may be $1000+ headphones that marginally improve on one of these aspects, but Sennheiser HD-600's do everything very well. What sets them apart from all other reasonably priced headphones for me is that I can listen to them 8 hours straight without discomfort and without ear fatigue.
Actually closed-back headphones will give you better isolation (if that's important to you) and avoid people seated nearby from hearing your music, but I've never heard a closed-back headphone I liked or could wear all day.

Best headphones for running
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich These are the phones to get for running. Great sound quality without blocking outside sounds, no worries about them falling out. Only be aware that the "short cord" version is for sleeve or collar-mounted players -- it won't reach to your waist unless you're handy with a soldering iron. Also not so comfortable in the winter unless you have a loose-fitting wool cap.
