Great audio device/lousy instructions
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I use this mainly as an MP3 player, but the recording feature is great to have.
The good:
Sound quality is very good with earbuds
Acceptable sound quality through the built in speakers
Unit is very compact and light
Very easy to add, remove, and manage music by connecting to computer
Function buttons are easy to use once you figure out what they do
The bad:
The instruction sheet is a total waste of good trees. The broken English is very hard to decipher and very few functions are even addressed. You have to experiment and guess at what buttons to push and when to press the correct combination or sequence. If not for this rather important detail, I would have given it 5 stars. However, once you figure it out it does a great job.
Helpful hint:
When using the MP3 player function, if you turn it off with the on/off switch it will reset to the first song on the list instead of remembering where it was stopped. This almost caused me to return the unit. However I kept experimenting and stumbled upon the solution: stop the MP3 player by pressing and holding the "play/pause" button until "Bye-Bye" is displayed on the screen, then you can switch it off. When you turn the MP3 player back on, it will pick up where you stopped it.

DVD would not play
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Not able to watch the movie because the DVD of feature would not play, the DVD with the extras played fine. The same issue occurred with a previous set of this collector's Edition that I had bought. I tried it on a standard DVD and a Blu-Ray player, plus my computer. Both sets are marked as Region 1, and both sets not recognized by any player that I have. Appears to be a problem with this edition's production.

Great product, easy installation, plus a suggestion
This product works great and is easy to install. I had to install using screws, but that was no issue at all; actually it made it more secure. I would offer one suggestion about installing this handy little flag: drill 2 holes in the bracket and into the mailbox and use 2 screws. This will keep it tight and it won't move around. Also, be sure to place the screws with the head inside of the mailbox and the nut on top of the bracket (making sure the screw isn't too long and interfere with the flag in the down position}. This will keep the screws from tearing any packages or scratching anyone's hand. Note to the manufacturers/sellers: You can increase your sales by drilling a small hole in the top edge of the flag and adding a strong, yet thin, piece of string to be trapped by the closed mailbox door. This would allow use in mailboxes that have the door that goes inside of the mailbox.
