Totally inaccurate
The book, titled in her name, is supposed to be her story. However, he only repeats a few inane comments about her 'sweet and yielding disposition" before he focuses almost entirely on all the men surrounding her. Her Ancestors, her Father, her brothers, her husband, her son...and he covers her death (tangentially) in covering the birth of her son only a third of the way into the book. After that, it is ALL about the men. If you are actually looking for a story that covers more of her, and less of them...I suggest you buy something else. Jane Seymour is as much of a ghost in this book as she would be in real life.

This is a well written "plain and simple" canning book. The Soups are not normally included in many canning books, but are very good for using up excess garden produce in an easy way that will be gratefully used later on. It would have better if it were not so oriented to the Amish community, (such large families and batches!) but because the recipes are clearly written it will take very little effort to divide them in 2 or even in 4. It would be nice if she wrote a book focused on the under-served "Canned Soup" category, but this is much better than nothing. Most of the other recipes are well written also, but are also readily available in other canning books. I do recommend the book to those who wish to maximize the products their gardening efforts produce.

Nothing useful here.
I was looking for something practical. This doesn't apply. I will be donating this to my local library so it can go in their dollar book sale and maybe someone will find something they can use about it, For me, it was a dud.
