"Green Green" Are The Minstrels At Their Best....And So Is This Album !!!
I've got the original New Christy Minstrels "Ramblin" album on LP (vinyl) and it's pretty good.... but this Expanded version on CD, released by Real Gone Music is even better. CEO "Executive Producer" Gordon Anderson did an amazing job putting this CD together....from the packaging to the sound itself. This NCM album never sounded better. And the 13 bonus tracks which also includes out-takes from the Christie's big hit "Green Green" is a real treat. WOW !!!The CD booklet features liner notes by Tom Pickles, and he goes all out describing the songs and the NCM recording time at Columbia Records studios. Plus...there's a whole bunch of great photos of The New Christy Minstrels and Randy Sparks, their founder & acknowledged leader, and also Barry McGuire, who not only provides the strong lead vocal on "Green Green".... but later went on to become a solo folk-singer. Remember his song "Eve of Destruction" ??? Anyhow, there's lots to love about this "Ramblin" CD and I've been listening to it non-stop. So yeah, this album is addictive....but in a good way !!! ENJOY

Last Month Of The Year album is First Rate
The Kingston Trio's Christmas album originally released in October 1960 (on LP/vinyl record) has always been my favourite Christmas album. Glad to be able to get hold of it on CD.....and kudos to Gordon Anderson of Real Gone Music for putting this all together. Tremendous top-notch packaging including a CD booklet filled with lots of info and pictures of the Kingston Trio: Dave Guard / Bob Shane / Nick Reynolds. Yes...and the sound on this CD is superb...in Full Dimensional Stereo. WOW /// Sounds as if these guys are singing in our living room !!! The songs are very unique and took a lot of time and research to record such an album. This CD includes "We Wish You A Merry Christmas" which is the only "standard" Christmas tune here. In any event, this happens to be an excellent album featuring lots of great songs and I promise.... You Will Not Be Disappointed. MERRY CHRISTMAS !!! :>)
