If you love Regency romance novels, any book by Georgette Heyer is a MUST. In the Civil Contract, Ms. Heyer shows us that marriages of that period were not always love matches. But, even without the display of courtship, the characters in this book invite the reader to share their story. A story, while not romantic, is still a love story.

This is a WINNER!
Georgette Heyer Regency Romances remain true to the original genre. Her books are not "bodice rippers." Instead, they have character development and interesting plots. Ms. Heyer also had an excellent knowledge of history which shows throughout her books.

She was warned against the Black Sheep
Any novel by Georgette Heyer is a winner. In "Black Sheep" she invents what could be the original Anti-Hero. He is not young, not handsome and certainly not courteous! Yet, his differences delight the lovely heroine and make for a most interesting romance!
