Loved this book since childhood
I've always loved this book, since it first was published in 1951, and it's still a good story for children of all ages.

Some good and some bad
Sleep and pulse recording were good. Steps were terrible. It missed over 80% walked steps.
The quality of one that works is OK, but it took three to get one that worked.
The band is surprisingly comfortable.
This is my third one and it has been working for two weeks now. The price is very reasonable but it takes a lot of fiddling and experimentation to get various functions working. I don't see any solution for the bad step counting. I still wear a separate pedometer to count steps. Watch the various YouTube videos for instructions. Those included are very sparse. Possibly a good experiment with a fitbit, but certainly not a replacement for those $100+ models.

Inexpensive indoor/outdoor thermometer
I bought the Acu-Rite 754 to replace a similar unit that died after several years. It was about the same price as the older unit, but lacks several important features. There is a self setting clock on the Acu-rite but no alarm feature and most lacking of all is not having a back light.
I used to awaken in the night to see the temperature and use the back light on the previous unit to see the numbers.
Several reviewers noted this deficit but I didn't see them until I got the thermometer. It seems OK on it's basic functions although both indoor and outdoor temperature readings are elevated from 1 to 3 degrees over two other calibrated thermometers. No problem receiving the signal from the outdoor sender at least in my home. I like the signal strength indicator for seeing when the outdoor is in range.
All in all, not a bad unit for the price but the devils in the details and it needs to be pretty close to read the numbers. You are out of luck in low light or unlit room.
