Little Known True Story of Jews Being Welcomed in Shanghai When Shut Out Everywhere Else
This is a little known story about how every country was rejecting the Jews trying to escape from Nazi Germany in 1938 and 1939. Shanghai opened its doors to 23,000 Jews without documents or passports who lived within one square mile for the duration of WW II and several years after. It is fascinating to learn about because it was true and a few survivors supplied additional information beyond the documentary. Excellent!
