Work great, but need a bit help to install.
A quick review of the M207 sensors: I just installed these as a replacement of older versions with dead batteries. As you know, the Orange sensors are a great retrofit for motorcycles (unlike the leaky valve-cap devices), but have limited battery lifespan - about 5 years in my experience. It is the closest thing to the OEM TPMS system I have on another bike.
Positive: these work well and will pair with the old M202 “TP-Checker” display head.
Negative: the included right-angle valves are useless, too tight to the rim and wrong diameter.
How to install:
- Buy either Dill VS-950 rubber tire valve (I used Green Slime equivalent from Autozone), or DS-925-series aluminum valve (I used VS-925A aluminum version; there is also VS-925B black and VS-925S stainless style).
- When installing on existing tire, I had to break both beads but only lever out one side to gain access.
- Make sure to follow pairing instructions for the original head exactly. Start at normal and release pressure. Do not dump air pressure totally, drop it to the required range of 12-26psi (I stopped at 15psi). - Note that this is the reverse from instruction included for M207 heads, which apparently require deflating and then bringing back to normal.
- After paring front tire successfully, display will switch from “1” to “2”. This is not intuitive, but correct; you can either continue with rear tire or just restart power to complete.
