Very good iPad cover
Inexpensive but does more than many much more expensive covers. It’s good looking, very lightweight and has a pencil holder in a better location as my opinion

Apple watch

You need to carry your iPhone so the watch doesn't free you from the iPhone if you want to use any of the features other than the clock function. We like the activity function which to my wife and me could retire our Fitbits.
You get notifications on the watch and of course you can use the watch as a phone just like Dick Tracy. Using the phone function outside is somewhat difficult due to the ambient outdoor noise so I usually switch to the iPhone to take a call when I am outdoors.
Another feature which is gaining popularity is the use of Apple Pay with the watch. Getting your e-mail and numerous apps are available similar to your iPad or iPhone.
There is a small learning curve and if you have an Apple store nearby it is worth attending the workshops about the Apple Watch. You can also learn online at the Apple website which is an alternative if no store is nearby.
To summarize, both my wife and I really enjoy using the Watch. She got her watch first but I attended the workshops with her and I was so excited about the watch that I purchases one. I got an extra leather watch band which really dresses up the watch and is a very easy change to make.
Keep an eye out for sales of these watches which give you an opportunity to get them for $100 less than retail price.
