Nyger Thistle Finch Seeds
1 von 2 finden das hilfreich Just got the Nyger "sock" feeder hung up last week. I have never put out seeds that would specifically draw the finches attention. When I hung the sock feeder, not being experienced in feeding the finches, I was wondering how they would "know it was for them"????? It took only one day for them to see the feeder, and they apparently have very good eye sight, seems like they knew it was for them! They were eating sunflower seeds with the Cardinals and other birds, and they still do, but I was wanting something for them....I live in Central Texas, so they are here all winter, according to the ornithology dept at Cornell, but I want them to stay here....I WANT to see the males change to the canary yellow color in spriing!!!! I recommend these sock feeders. I have seen no damage, and I have a lot of finches going at it all day. One finch was very industrious and made a larger hole for himself up at the top, but that is the one and only. They are good quality, the seeds don't really fall out, maybe a few, but it is great for feeding these small Nyger seeds!!!! I would buy it again if I needed another one.
