Cheap and effective.
It's pretty much plug and play on Windows 10. Great replacement for onboard video that went out.
Drives a 1080p VGA monitor. just fine.

It doesn't leak air at the seam like the old one did.

Great for receipts, but proprietary software driven - NOT TWAIN COMPLIANT.
This scanner uses proprietary software to do scanning. IT IS NOT TWAIN COMPLIANT! IT WILL NOT SCAN DIRECTLY INTO ANYTHING EXCEPT THE ACCOMPANYING SOFTWARE.
That being said, while setting up the software is a little bit of a pain in the a$$, you can scan to pdf or jpg, you can then open the file, copy areas of interest and paste into other software. (I have done this in Irfanview and Quicken (receipts).)
It's fairly quick and the provided software does a good job of straightening crooked scans and cropping around receipts of different sizes.
It's small, quick, and does the job, but I'd rather TWAIN support than the the Japanese mindset proprietary software.
