Balanced sound
Very "live" sounding tube, but not overly bright and no sibilance. Fun to listen to and balanced in the frequencies. Good bass. Not generally a fan of new production tubes, but wanted to try a 6550 and NOS 6550's are crazy expensive. Like it better than my Gold Lion KT88's. It did take about 10 hours to burn in to sound it's best. Very pleased with purchase, and as always, Viva Tube's service.

Unexpectedly excellent!
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich I got this because my old Soundcraftsmen EQ is in the shop for a while for rebuild. Price to performance on this Rockville unit is great. Preserves the dynamic range and imaging of source. No noise, dead quiet sliders, simple and effective gain control, no sound quality issues. I don't record with this, playback only in home (all tube) system. Unexpectedly excellent, this unit has no bad habits. Update- October, 2020- power supply gone, dropped 5 star rating to 3 stars because of that. Getting an ART unit instead. Rockville was great while it lasted.

EQ with Zero Gain circuit to prevent amp overload
works great - 10 frequency bands give great flexibility, the zero gain circuit is a must have if you use equalization in your system. Very useful product.
