When I got home after picking up the telescope, and first tried it out, a fuse blew. I was provided with a tremendous amount of helpful information and together we found the failed component. The seller graciously ordered replacement parts on my behalf and I was quickly able to repair and restore it to full operation. He has been very helpful in providing tips and guidance for using the telescope ever since.

I've used AcuRite products in the past. I specifically chose an AcuRite item this time on the strength of past experience, and wasn't disappointed with this item.
The built-in radio clock function worked with no input on my part - literally "plug and play". The display is accurate and easy to read. Brightness can be adjusted.
This unit requires being plugged in with a supplied "wall wart". 3 AAA batteries for display backup, 2 AA batteries for the sensor.

Everything old is new again...
It's the same mat that was in the back of your X3 when you bought it and before the dog chewed it up, it was left in some motel's parking lot, or (for us) it was trashed when the clowns that stole our X3 tried to steal a dirt bike. We got the car back, I got a new mat, the circle of life resumes.
Or... it was in the back on delivery day, and now the new one looks like the old one when it was the new one. Circle of life...
It's an OEM part. What else is there?

Works until it doesn't
This sensor has been in service for 7 years until it stopped working for no apparent reason. It simply failed to report to the alarm system. Not a battery (2 regular AAA's) issue - it just stopped working (lost a star for that), The second sensor in the system is still working as it should. I bought a replacement and would do it again. Although I hope I won't need to.
