Great indoor and outdoor.
If you plan to use it outdoors, get the outdoor kit. I have 3 of these and the video in pitch black darkness shows up very well. Anything within about 15-20 feet will show up really well in total darkness. Daytime is fantastic as well. I can see anyone at my door clearly. If you plan to have it sitting inside to video things outside a window, it’s fine during the day but not at night. Best if installed outside if that’s what it will be looking at. Video quality is very good and I’ll be adding 2 more soon.

Slicker than hot butter! Works in the MK III and IV 22/45. Those are the guns I have.
Let’s start with the cons...haven’t found any. I’ve had this bolt for 3 days and already put 1,100 rounds through it with zero malfunctions. No cleaning yet and it slides as smooth as the first shot. I had a finger-loop charge handle on the original bolt, like the Tandemkross one. It worked fantastic, so I was a little concerned that the knob-type charger on this bolt might not work as well. No worries. It works perfectly as there is so much less friction charging this bolt. I will confess that I also have the Volquartsen magazine release which is designed to hold the magazine a little farther up in the frame to minimize the bolt not picking up a round. I had this with the original bolt and I had 3 miss feeds out of 500 rounds not picking up a round, but always during rapid fire. This bolt with the same magazine release has picked up every round during rapid fire. The finish is smooth as glass. Love it!

Best budget bipod! Dang near perfect! And I mean it!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I’ve had this bipod for two years and used it on a number of AR15s and an AR10. It’s holding up great. It needs minor tweaking to be perfect. 3 things:
1. The ball in it has a rubber gasket that should be some type of phenolic or other harder substance. Some of the rubber has squeezed out. Still works though, but I had to tighten down the tension screws more than I wanted. Would prefer an adjustable tension handle so there would be no need for a screw driver.
2. Next thing is it needs someway to lock it from the ball joint allowing the legs from rising too high when stowed forward so you don’t have the possibility of shooting the legs! Easy fix is to mount it back farther so they don’t protrude in front of the muzzle, and that is what I’ve done. But that limits my reach with my non-dominant hand out farther to the front of the rail. Not a huge issue though.
3. Last is it needs a proper QD mount. The little knurled screw is cumbersome but workable, but really needs a screwdriver or pliers and this is what we don’t want to have to carry with us.
These are all relatively minor issues though.
This is the absolute best budget bipod I have ever used and it’s not far from the $200-300 bipod. You can get by with this on regular range shooting, from prone to sitting at the table. It’s rugged and stout and I’ve used it in well over 7000 rounds of 5.56/.223 and another 1000 rounds or so of .308. It still works! Pan and cant and easy to front load it. Plus it has the little tension wheels on the legs to be able to get the perfect level when the detents just are a hair off. You can cant it but if you have the tension tight to prevent pan and cant, those little tension wheels save the day. With enough practice, you could probably use this in competition too. Worth every penny and then some.
