This is a touchy preamp it has several sweet spots. I think it sounds cleanest @80% volume or less depending on the eq settings. I love the sound of it and the pickups. Still quality but no longer made in Finland.

Extremely versatile, best buy!
I am very happy with my purchase. I knew two speakers had no high frequency. I figured it needed tweeter diaphragms. It also could have needed a crossover repair. I am a sound engineer with military electronics training so the repairs were simple. The speakers are great and are extremely versatile. The can be used as high end stage monitors. Or turn the horn driver 90 degrees and they become high end front of house speakers. I can use them until I get a request for a high quality install. A great buy!
