Cheap and cheerful controller, that's lightweight, ideal for a portable setup.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Although not an maximum power point tracking product, this little Pulse Width Modulation solar charge controller works very well extracting the best from small lower output panels. Coupling a small 12V lead acid battery to a portable 6 watt solar panel saw the device perform more efficiently than when using an MPPT controller. That said if it were coupled to a 20 watt panel then the MPPT controller would likely be superior. At this price point (under £6 GBP) it's a functional controller with LCD display (no back light), that can switch the connected load on and off, although the USB sockets are always being supplied, It has a volt meter for reading the battery voltage as well as a graphical bar state of charge indicator. I found the reading on the volt meter was about 0.1 Volt under reading compared to other test equipment reading the battery state of charge. Cheap and cheerful controller, that's lightweight, ideal for a portable setup, since it has no heat sink on the rear of case to heat up, so can be set down on plastic surfaces like car dashboards. I bought the 20A option expecting to switch loads of up to 16A, which it does adequately.

Likely to fail if reused several times over
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich These generic axial connectors would be better if the terminal block component was more robust. The small hinged flap that closes onto the cable when you tighten the screw down, can fail if you try to re purpose the connector several times over. Slightly disappointing really, for what could be a good product.

Awful design, try other brands
This jack plug has no strain relief function and is very poor in quality. The jack plug section is only held in place by the cable interference fitting inside the sheath. They fall to pieces in use. Buy a different brand.
