Does what it says

Cost-effective replacements
Good brightness, perhaps even too much in some cases! And without the heat of the original tubes. One oddity - these tubes are unevenly lit, with one side darker than the other. This proved a useful way of adjusting the brightness, by turning the tubes in their fittings.

Didn't seem to interest our ants
I put these out where we'd seen ants running in the kitchen, but it didn't seem to affect them. It wasn't until I finally located where they were coming in, and dusted it (heavily!) with anticide powder that we finally dealt with them.
