Excellent Greensleeves reissue
Considered by many to be the definitive Keith Hudson album, (although I think
Pick a Dub has it by a whisker). Hudson did not cross over to the rock market like some of his contemporaries, and his foray with Virgin (Too Expensive) was one of his weakest. He was uncompromising in his stance and combined producing and performing in equal measure as portrayed on this disc. His dubs were austere and uncompromising and were developments of the originals without resorting to the whistles bells and the kitchen sink. The comparison of Rasta Communication with Brand its dub version is fascinating, the former having shades of the romantic and Marvin Gaye's What's going on, and the latter being hard militant dubwise. This man pass too soon as I would say. Peace and Love.
